How can I purchase Travel Insurance?

 

Travel Insurance can be purchased through Celestyal Cruises. In cooperation with Allianz Global Assistance we are offering the opportunity for passengers traveling with us to purchase travel insurance designed with the cruise in mind. Allianz Global Assistance is one of the leading names worldwide providing travel insurance and assistance services. This is optional and subject to passenger own needs. The travel insurance can be purchased through Celestyal’s sales channel – Reservations System (Tour Partner) and Website – along with the booking.

Notes

  • The Travel Insurance is available for all markets, subject to EU sanctions.
  • Before the completion of the purchase the customer should be given (either hard copy, a pdf copy or through a link) a standardised pre-conventional information sheet named IPID (insurance product information document). This is a requirement of EU Directive 2016/97 on insurance distribution.
  • The purchase is completed only when the booking status is BOOKED.
  • Upon completion of the purchase the client or the agent will receive a confirmation email with the Travel Insurance Certificate, including the contract and conditions of the program.
  • In case the cover is not suitable, Allianz Global Assistance should be notified within 14 days.
  • Changes to the booking will not be reflected automatically to the travel insurance once the purchase has been completed. If there are any changes (cruise dates, cabin, passenger names etc.) after the travel insurance purchase has been completed Allianz Global Assistance needs to be notified directly at [email protected] or call 24-hour Claims Administration Centre at +30 210 99 26 926. Alternatively, our reservation department could be contacted, and a reservation officer will guide you accordingly.
  • The policy currency (including limits of cover and premium) is Euro, even though the charge might be being in local currency.
  • The travel insurance is non-refundable.
  • Celestyal Plus and Celestyal Premium should and can only be purchased within 48 hours of the trip booking. Otherwise cover is prejudiced.
  • Currently Travel Insurance is only available for the duration of the cruise.
  • By purchasing an insurance program through Celestyal Cruises client should confirm and accept that the travel insurance is offered and administered by a third party, and client’s personal data will be transmitted to this party.
  • By purchasing an insurance program through Celestyal Cruises client should confirm that they have read and accept the applicable Travel Insurance Terms & Conditions.
  • Whilst there is no age limit for cover concerning accidents; the coverage for incidents concerning sudden illness is limited to persons under 75 years old.
  • COVID-19: Allianz Travel Medical Insurance plans do not generally cover losses directly or indirectly related to known, foreseeable, or expected events, or expected events, epidemics, government prohibitions, warnings, or travel advisories, or fear of travel. In response to the public health and travel crisis that is under development, claims for the following are now accommodated under the plans currently in effect:
    • Medical care for a customer who becomes ill with COVID-19 while on their trip.
    • Trip Cancellation (with Premium or Plus) or Trip Interruption if a customer becomes ill with COVID-19 either before or during their trip.
    • Certain exclusions and restrictions apply. Please read the T&Cs carefully.
    • The existence of insurance does not substitute the observance of health protocols.
  • The travel insurance is offered and administered by AGA International S.A., (10 Premetis Str., 17342, Athens). under Policy GRT160000005 or GRT170002955. This said insurance travel plan provides insurance protection during the covered trip. All the benefits that are provided under the insurance policy are organized and handled by Allianz Global Assistance on a 24-hour per day basis, 365 days per year, with the condition that:
  1. The claims administration center of Allianz Global Assistance has been previously notified and has been given all the necessary elements.
  2. The claims administration center of Allianz Global Assistance has previously accepted the organization and the undertaking of the coverages, without the prior approval of which no benefit is provided and no compensation is given.

Allianz Global Assistance is a service provider acting as an independent contractor and do not at any time act as agents or representatives of Celestyal Cruises. Celestyal Cruises is not responsible in any way for the conduct, products or services provided by Allianz Global Assistance(including without limitation its employees and/or sub-contractors) nor for loss related thereto. Celestyal does not own or control Allianz Global Assistance, makes no representations of any kind as to its performance and does not take to supervise its activities. Anyone using such services shall be entering into a contract with Allianz Global Assistance subject to the terms and conditions of Allianz Global Assistance.

 

What if I need to change my booking after I have purchased Travel Insurance?
