Discover, connect & cook
Embark on a unique journey where cultural connections thrive. The tour starts with a visit to Muttrah Fish market, a new landmark on the waterfront. The Fish Market was created to serve as a focal point for the community of Muttrah, while simultaneously functioning as a hub for Oman’s thriving fishing industry.
Later, you’ll head to visit a local women’s association called as Sidab Women Sewing group. You’ll spend some time having Omani coffe, and chatting with these inspirational ladies. Your next stop is the National Hospitality Institute.
You’ll meet the Head Chef of the Institute, as well as some of the aspiring cookery students. Then it’s your turn to learn, as you enjoy a cooking lesson followed by lunch. After you’ve enjoyed your food, it’s time to return to the port. Please note that there’s a dress code for this excursion, and you’ll need to cover shoulders and knees, as well as hair for ladies.
