Fascinating Oman Tour

Full Day

Wadi Arbayeen

You’ll start your tour by heading from the port to the Grand Mosque. It’s one of the largest in the world, and can accommodate 20,000 worshippers at one time. On your visit, you can admire the beautiful artworks, chandeliers and the one single piece of carpet covering
the complete prayer hall.

You’ll need to dress appropriately for the mosque visit so please be prepared to cover shoulders and knees, as well as hair for ladies. Later, head to Barkha Fish Market to see the fishermen selling their morning catch to the locals. Next, you’ll for the beautiful oasis of Nakhal, and visit the Al Thowarah Springs. This warm water full of minerals has been offering relief from the dry surroundings for centuries.

You’ll see the Falaj system, which is a cleverly constructed irrigation system. Your next stop is Nakhal fort, an impressive sight set on a rocky outcrop surrounded by palm trees. This fort was originally built in pre-Islamic times (as early as the 9th century), but a lot of the current fortifications were added onto it in the 17th century. Then it’s time to stop for lunch at the Al Nahda Resort before transferring back to the port.
