We Collect Your Luggage

Remember not to leave anything behind. Please ensure that you collect the correct luggage before leaving the cruise terminal by checking your personal data on the luggage tags.

Celestyal Cruises places great importance on safety and responsibility and we adhere to the strictest safety regulations on all of our vessels. All of our cruise ships are fully-equipped according to the latest safety regulations, and our crew is fully-trained and certified for emergency situations.
When you first board your ship, you will notice several signs pertaining to emergencies as well as emergency lights along the corridors, which assist guests in reaching master stations and emergency exits. Our vessels are also equipped with evolved smoke detection and fire suppression systems, ample lifeboats, life jackets in every stateroom and in some of the ship’s public spaces, as well as other equipment we use to ensure your cruise is safe and smooth. We also provide you with a special booklet, “Travelling with Safety,” which we urge you to read so that you can familiarize yourself with our safety regulations and instructions.
After you board your ship and prior to departure, we will conduct a mandatory safety drill. The drill is designed to make you aware of the safety measures we take on board and to demonstrate the readiness of your crew. You will be given a daily program when you board the ship – please consult this program for the exact time of the drill, which we will also announce over the ship’s P.A. system. Again, this drill is mandatory. Please follow all instructions from our crew members.
We have a well-equipped medical center and a doctor on standby for first aid whenever we are at sea. Anytime during your cruise, our ship’s doctor schedules appointments unless there is an emergency. Should you require on-board medical care or any medication, your personal account will be charged accordingly. Please check with your health insurance provider if any of the costs can be reimbursed to you – we will provide a receipt that can be submitted accordingly.

Day and Evening Wear

You should also bring swimsuits if you plan to swim in our pool or at one of the incredible beaches we’ll visit, as well as sunglasses, a hat and good sunscreen, which will help to protect you from the Mediterranean sun. If you intend to use one of the fully-equipped gyms on our ships, make sure you bring proper clothes and shoes (but don’t worry about a towel, we’ll provide that).
We do not permit bathing suits or shorts in the restaurants, but we do serve a scrumptious lunch buffet on our pool deck every day so you can remain by the pool without having to change out of your swimwear.
In our restaurants, casinos, lounges and nightclubs, and in the other open spaces on our ships, your attire should be “country club casual”– relaxed, yet elegant – after 18:00.
For your safety and comfort on board, we suggest sports or flat deck shoes with low heels. This type of footwear will make it easier for you to navigate the cruise ship’s decks and stairwells.

Make sure you charge your batteries before you sail – you won’t believe the number of opportunities you’ll have to take incredible photos and videos.

Light-colored cotton or sports clothes that “breathe” will help to keep you cool on our excursions. If you plan to visit the beach you’ll need a swimsuit as well as sunglasses, a hat and good sunscreen, which will help to protect you from the Mediterranean sun. If you will be visiting a religious or pilgrimage site, please dress respectfully in long trousers or a skirt that falls below the knee, and please remember to cover your shoulders.
On each Celestyal cruise ship calendar you’ll find special evening events including Gala Night, Captain’s Cocktail (both during our seven-night cruises) and our legendary Greek Night. For Gala Night and Captain’s Cocktail, please attend in formal dress: a cocktail dress or something smart for ladies; jacket and tie for men. For Greek Night we hope you’ll wear blue and white, the colors of the Greek flag. Check your daily program for a schedule of all evening events.
The official currency on all of our ships is the euro and all prices are displayed in euros. If you wish to change hard currency into euros, the Reception Desk on your ship can change limited amounts.
Celestyal Cruises Cashless Transaction System
We believe good accounting makes good friends. During check-in you will receive your personal boarding card which functions as a debit card so that you can put away your wallet while you’re on board. Your transactions are now cashless, so you don’t have to carry cash on our ships – all purchases are made, instantly, with your personal boarding card. Use it in our shops, salons, spas, bars and to purchase Shore Excursions. Don’t worry about carrying cash; you’ve got your boarding card. Relax and enjoy yourself.
Forms of Payment
Any purchase or payment for services that carry an extra charge is automatically debited from your personal account when linked to a valid credit card or cash deposit. If you wish to pay your account in cash, you must leave a deposit with Reception: we recommend 200 euros for 3-Night and 4-Night Cruises and 300 euros for 7-Night Cruises. Please visit the Reception Desk when you arrive on board to activate your personal account. We accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa and debit cards (as long as they are suitable for electronic transactions and they are not Maestro Debit Cards).
On-board purchases are automatically charged to your personal boarding card. This includes services that are not included with your cruise package:
- Beverages other than tap water, filter coffee and tea at meal times
- On-board purchases
- Beauty salon, spa services & products
- Photo shop purchases
- Shore Excursions
- Wifi access and telephone calls from your cabin
- Medical expenses
- Laundry services
- Room service
- Specialty menus in the dining room
- Snacks from the bar, pizza
- Mini bar where applicable
Your cruise rate includes:
- Port charges
- Cabin accommodation according to the category you have booked
- Full board (except specialty menus in the dining room & room service)
- On-board entertainment, day & night activities
- Use of swimming pools
- Use of fitness center & sauna
- Use of safety deposit box
You cannot use your personal boarding card in our casinos. You can only play with cash and if you are aged 18 or over.
Final Day – Balance of Account
On the final day of your cruise you will receive a bill to your cabin with a detailed list of all the charges on your personal boarding card – you can also collect this bill from the Reception Desk. If you have chosen to leave a cash deposit with Reception, you must pay the balance of your bill in cash or collect any remaining balance. After you settle your account, either in cash or by a credit or debit card, your personal boarding card will no longer be valid and any purchase you make on board must be paid for in cash.
Fares and Port Taxes
There are no extra charges for port tax or any other taxes, nor are there any extra fares or surcharges. Everything is included in the final price of your ticket.
