Coffee on deck: Goodbye Athens!

Life back on board has begun. We’ll be bringing you regular updates on this very special week – the first week of our Iconic four-night cruise season!

Holidays have been on hold for a long time and it’s been painful not being able to get away. But everything changed today. We set sail once again, heading back to our favourite old haunts across the Aegean.

There’s so much we’re looking forward to. The heart-pumping feeling of being onboard, getting to try and rekindling our love of discovery. Even before we set off for Mykonos, we’d started the fun by getting to Athens early to explore. It was the same for many of our guests who wanted to make the most of every moment of their long-awaited trips.

Athens in April
Greek’s capital city is always buzzing. And in spring, it’s really coming alive. Friendly faces were welcoming us at boutiques and cafes in Plaka. The guides at the Acropolis were brimming with information and making jokes with the visitors. And the squares in the central Athens were bursting with people making the most of the sun, a coffee in hand – gorgeous!
Sometimes, reality doesn’t live up to expectations. Not this time. We’ve only just kicked off our season, and there are plenty more cruises to come, but we already know it’s going to be incredible.
Not just about the next few days but about the whole of the season. Smiles will only grow and laughter will only get louder as more visitors flock to Athens.
We’re the lucky few to get a first taste of the spring and summer seasons of the city this year. We can’t wait for more of our guests to join us and get lost in the joy of Greece.
