We leave the historic and classical capital of Greece and set sail on our overnight voyage to Santorini. Your first night will give you the opportunity to relax, indulge in our Inclusive hospitality and anticipate the adventures ahead on your very own voyage of discovery.
We arrive in Santorini, whose stunning face is instantly recognisable across the world. We’re sure she will take your breath away, with her soaring landscapes, clusters of whitewashed houses in the capital Fira, and of course the iconic blue-domed church at Oia. Don’t forget to try one of the many restaurants jostling for position at the edge of the caldera.
Lose yourself in the maze of atmospheric cobbled streets of the Old Town (a World Heritage Site) in what will transport you back to the Byzantine Empire. Be sure to wander through the Knights Quarter and the Palace of the Grand Master. Indeed Rhodes is also known as the Island of the Knights. Our itinerary allows us a whole day here which gives plenty of opportunity to discover the clear waters, wonderful beaches and lush wooded valleys.
Thick forests carpet the slopes of an island that’s shrouded in mystery and magic. Deep pockets of caves appear from nowhere and immaculate landscapes seem untouched by time. Cosmopolitan yet deeply historical, the island of Samos guards layer upon layer of fascinating history that only those who venture on its shores can truly discover.
An island of legends: Pythagoras, Epicurus, Aristarchus, Aesop and birthplace of Hera, it’s no coincidence that its temples rival the Parthenon in size and significance. Arriving into Pythagoreio port, you’ll encounter an enchanting quayside promenade crammed with tavernas and shops as well as the Archaeological Museum that’s an island must-visit for history lovers.
There is no place on earth like Istanbul. The Greeks, Romans, Venetians and Ottomans have all held sway over this city that straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus between the Sea of armara and the Black Sea. You will see the stunning Sultan Ahmet (Blue) Mosque, Church of Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi Palace, Galata Bridge, Taksim Square and of course the incomparable Grand Bazaar. And all this just touches the surface of the place once known as Byzantium and Constantinople. There will be plenty of time to enjoy the great food in one the many buzzing restaurants.
Your final morning is a chance to reflect. Grab a coffee on deck and scan this diverse city’s beautiful skyline as you enjoy the last drops of the Eastern Mediterranean sun.
