Afternoon treats: Day Two on Deck

We love an afternoon soaking up the fun at sea. Here’s why the in-between bits are sometimes the best.

There’s nothing better than an afternoon onboard a cruise. So much to do, so much freedom. People if you want a conversation, quiet spaces if you want some me-time. Spa, pool, hot tub, not to mention cocktails with views (that’s our favourite bit).

We’ve been enjoying it ALL today. A little browse of Greek souvenirs in the store, because sometimes shopping is an event itself. Some reading time, getting comfy on a lounger in the sun – can’t leave island hopping without that springtime glow. A long soak in the hot tub and then a Balinese hot stone massage. If it’s there, why not enjoy it right?! Feeling just about ready to get our exploration shoes back on for the afternoon in Patmos.

Foodie pitstopLunchtime when cruising is an opportunity to savour the moment. Today, we savoured it with a Greek take on pizza – and it didn’t disappoint! It had all the good stuff – olives, peppers, caramelized onions, feta, oregano. All washed down with an ice-cold beer. Because we’re in Greece and that’s what a Greek siesta is all about. Take it from us!

Patmos is calling, so we’d better get going…
